Coloring Easter Eggs

Yesterday we had the kids color their Easter eggs. Paisley thought that she could just eat the egg, shell and all. She colored on a couple and put some stickers on an egg. Gavin loved decorating them and writing his name on his eggs. It was fun to watch the kids get all excited for the Easter Bunny to come!!

Grandpa Schmidt

WE CAN BE TOGETHER
FOREVER SOMEDAY

6 Years ago today my Grandpa Schmidt passed away. I sure miss him. When I was growing up I would love spending time at my Grandparents house. When our family would go to Arizona to visit, I was famous for crying EVERYTIME that we left.... I never wanted to say goodbye. A couple of times I saved up my money and flew down to Arizona a to visit. I remember when I would get off the plane that my Grandpa would be there waiting and waving to get my attention, he was always so happy to see me and I was to see him... I imagine that's how it'll be when I see him again.
I can remember when all us grandkids would stay at my Grandparents house on New Years Eve while the parents went out, and how we'd watch disney movies and Grandpa would watch them with us... Bambi, Cinderella, Pinocchio... he'd sing the songs along with us... we'd sit on his lap in the orange rocking chair....
He didn't have much hair and we would give him "nuggies" and he would joke about not messing up his hair. I miss those times.
We found out that he was sick and wouldn't be with us much longer... how this broke my heart. I couldn't imagine that my strong Grandpa could get sick. I still remember his voice... so strong. The October conference before he passed away my Grandpa and Grandma came up to Utah to visit. We went to the Wagon Master for dinner, my Grandpa's birthday was October 26th so I had Dallas sneak off and tell the waitress that it was his birthday so they would sing.... they did.. he was embarrassed I think :) He told us we would pay for it and he would get us back!!
The day he passed away, my Dad, Dallas and I were actually 1/2 way to Arizona so we could see him before he passed away. We called to let them know where we were and recieved the news... I remember just crying... I never did say Goodbye to my Grandpa... I regret it, I wish I would have. I didn't want to face the reality of saying goodbye to someone that I loved SOO much. My family went down to visit him and I stayed here, in my mind I wanted to have my last memory of him laughing and joking and being so strong... my last time seeing him was at the Wagon Master... he was he good ol' self... while my family was there, my Grandpa gave all his sons their last Father's Blessing, I sure wish I was there.... I should have called and told him goodbye... but I couldn't.... I knew I would just cry and I wouldn't be able to talk... so I passed it up... I still regret this so much....
So... Grandpa... I love you and I miss you so very much. I think about you more than you could know. I'm sorry I never took that opportunity to tell you goodbye, I didn't want you to leave, no one did. I wish you could see my 3 little ones, I know they would love you like I do. I can't wait for the day when I will get to see you again... thank goodness that Family's are Forever.... Until we meet again Grandpa.... I LOVE YOU!!!

Look Alike

I took Gavin over to my Mom's tonight to sleep over and she pulled out a scrapbook and we started looking through the pictures. I can't believe how similar Paisley and I look, I tried to find pictures of her that were the same pose, but I think you'll get the idea. My Dad calls her Deja vu!

I found a couple of pictures of Paisley that reminds me of Bronson too... I still am not quite sure who he looks like!

Swinging Paisley

So I've been watching my friends little guy this week. I have to rotate Bronson and Braxton around and switch off who gets the swing since they both love it. So because of this Paisley also thinks that she needs to be in on the shuffle. So while I have the boys out feeding them, Paisley will climb in the swing and away she goes! She thinks she's super funny and will hold onto the sides and everything! She's so funny! Here's a few of the pictures. Mind you I did do her hair, she's just in the process of taking her pony's out... UGH!

Bronson and his new little friend!

Today I started watching my friends little guy. Bronson and Braxton were due 8 days apart, however Bronson switched things up and came 5 weeks early!! I took 2 pictures of them laying by eachother today, they are too cute!! I'm thinking they'll be good buddies!
Paisley sure loved having another baby, she helped me feed them and hold them and was giving lots of hugs and kisses! At one point I was holding Braxton, Bronson was laying on my leg and Paisley was sitting next to me!! It was a lot of fun!

Bronson

We couldn't leave Bronson out of the posts today... this is what he's up to!!

Gavin's off to School

Gavin decided to get himself ready today. He picked out his own clothes, I was quite suprised! He picked out his Hulk underoo shirt ha ha but I still let him wear it!! Next we brushed his teeth and I asked him how he wanted his hair done... stupid me... we ended up with this
Thank goodness its a short day of school today!!

I HATE EAR INFECTIONS!!!

HOLY COW I'm glad this week is about over... Paisley hasn't been feeling good and just cries the whole time she is awake, my nerves are frazzled :) I took her in to the Dr's because her ear was bleeding, she had a temp of 102.5, she hasn't been eating or drinking and I've just had enough... so sure enough she has a good ol' EAR INFECTION... UGH. I am so beyond sick of ear infections. She got tubes put in the same day Bronson was born, and yet here were are again dealing with another one... nice. Well I went in to take a picture of her screaming and she stopped for a second since she saw the camera so the first picture looks pathetically cute and innocent, then the real Paisley showed right after so here's that picture too... again thank goodness for Mortin and Tylenol!!!

Teething = Lots of Drool and Clinging

Man I am so sick of teething. Paisley is getting 4 molars in at once, she seems to like to grow 4 teeth at a time... its horrible. She has to be right by me non stop, sometimes not even going to her Dad, and on top of that she has buckets of drool and snot pouring out of her nose and mouth... oh and the constant crying... that's always fun!! So all I can say is thank goodness for andbecause without it I would be

Notice its the childrens tylenol... that's what I give Paisley, I have to take more effective drugs !! ha ha!!
