Dr's Appointment

Today I went in for my regular 34 week checkup for the baby! Dallas had to work so I took both the kids and headed to the Dr's. I had to do a 24 hour urine test so I got there a little early so I could give that to the lab and have my blood drawn. Afterwards I headed over to the Dr's and my blood pressure was really high, they waited a little while and then took it again and it was still really high... so we did the rest of the appointment and took it again and it was still high. So my Dr came back in and said that she is pretty sure I have pre eclampsia. She told me that I am to be on complete bedrest, I have to come in 2 times a week for non stress tests for the baby plus my regular Dr's appointment. I wasn't supposed to come back until the 13th but she is now wanting me to come in every week. She sent me back to the lab to have my blood taken for some more tests to determine how "severe" the pre eclampsia is. She said she wanted to see me back in a week and if the tests results come back not good then she could be calling me to come back in sooner to have the baby. She said the baby will be fine being born at this stage, however he would have to remain in ICU for a few weeks. So there's the update!! Yipee! I am not sure how this bedrest thing is going to work out... should be interesting!

Poor Paisley's Ears

As most of you know, Paisley's ears have been horrible since around 3 months. She's had so many ear infections and have been on so many antibiotics since then. A few weeks ago her ear started leaking this thick goo.. (sorry I know gross) so I took her in to the Dr's he said this is puss draining from behind her eardrum, and it was so thick that he couldnt' tell if the eardrum had ruptured. So onto another antibiotic she went! She seemed to do a little better, however the Dr still wanted the ENT to see her to talk about tubes again. We went in and he said she does need the tubes and we scheduled the surgery for January 19th. This past Saturday her ear started leaking a ton of puss again (after a horrible night of her screaming and not sleeping/eating etc) I called the on call Dr and he gave her another antibiotic and said to call Monday to get her surgery moved up... so Monday I called and now her surgery is scheduled for January 8th... there is hope in sight!! I'm so tired of her ears hurting her, and nothing seeming to help! This will be great!! I will keep you updated!

Merry Christmas... late

We had a nice Christmas! We started off the morning with Paisley waking us up as usual, although she had no clue what was going on! We woke Gavin up and he went downstairs to see if Santa had come! I was at the bottom of the stairs with the camera, and when he saw that Santa had come he said "I really was a good boy." it was cute! We needed to head over to my parents house as my brother Bronson was going to be calling. We weren't sure what time, but we thought it would be early. So we got over there around 8 ish, started cooking our traditional breakfast with the Montoya's and Browns. There was a really bad snow storm so we got started a little late. We got done with breakfast and Bronson still hadn't called... he is 8 hours ahead of us so we were getting a little worried.. Finally around 1 our time we got a call from someone telling us how to get a hold of Bronson and we did! It was so nice to be able to hear his voice. I sure miss him. We all got to talk for quite a while, it was the perfect Christmas "gift" He seems like he is doing well and loving what he is doing! After we got done talking to Bronson we opened the gifts from my parents which we got done around 5:30 ish and got home at 6... Gavin was having a moment and went to sleep for an hour and then we got him back up to open gifts from Santa. Paisley really enjoyed opening the gifts and she loved playing with the toys that she got. Dallas' parents were in town and they stayed the night on Christmas night. It was nice to spend time with family over the holiday!! Here are a few pictures from Christmas Eve and Christmas Day!

Paisley's 1st Birthday!!!

Yesterday we had some family/friends over to celebrate Paisley's 1st Birthday!! It was nice to have Uncle Buddy, Aunt Debbie and my cousin Tyler over too! We normally don't get to have them over for birthday's since they live in Arizona!! We had soup for dinner and then cake and icecream! I made a video of her 1st year which turned out pretty cute!! My Mom made the cake for everyone and did a great job. She bought Paisley a little cake for her to dig into, it was cute, it was a little barbie cake!! She didn't make a big mess with the cake as I expected her too but we still got some cute pictures!! Paisley was actually very interested in opening her gifts!! She got a cabbage patch baby and she wanted it out of the box before we could move on to the next gift!! She got a new pair of shoes and some much needed socks and a book and my parents gave her a car seat!! Funny enough the carseat was her absolute favorite. She wanted to sit in it the rest of the time. I tried taking her out of it and she threw a fit. This morning when I took her downstairs she spotted it again, threw her arms out reaching for it and tried wiggling out of my arms... once she was in it she was one happy girl!! She even had her bottle, baby and blanket in it!! It was a nice night! I still can't believe she is one!! Time sure flies by! She is such a great blessing to our family!! Happy Birthday Pretty Princess!!

What not to do with Oreos!!!

So the other day I decided to give Paisley an Oreo... a Winter Oreo mind you with red frosting!! She made the biggest mess ever with it! It was up her nose, in her ears, hair, on her legs and arms and everywhere on the table and chair!! I tried taking the cookie away from her and she started screaming at me!! This was just one cookie too!! Anyways here are the pictures from that day!

Holiday Festival

Gavin brought home a flyer about the Kearns Olympic Oval Holiday Festival, we decided to go. There was ice skating, photo's with Santa and Mrs. Claus, live entertainment, Games/prizes etc. We got there a little early so we didn't have to wait in the line very long. Brittany and some of her friends met up a little later! This was Gavin's 1st time ice skating, or skating for that matter. Dallas helped him around the ice rink a few times and then Brittany and her friend took over! We waited in the line to see Santa Claus forever. As we were actually getting close Gavin decided that he didn't want to see Santa (guilty conscience??) so he went back and ice skated with Brittany. We finally made it up to Santa and got a few pictures with Paisley and Santa Claus. This was a 1st for Paisley and needless to say she wasn't too thrilled about it!! Still a really cute picture!! Anyways here are the pictures from tonight!

FINALLY!!!

The time has finally come!! Paisley is walking! She took 6 steps a couple of weeks ago and then totally became a chicken. If we put her in standing position she would squeal or just plop right down. But yesterday she just started doing it on her own!! She was walking from her doorway to mine or the toy box to another toy. Today I finally got it on phone so here it is!! Its her debut!! One week before her 1 year birthday! YIPEE!!!

Our Trip to Arizona

The kids and I went to Arizona with my Parents and my sister Lindsay this past week. We left on Wednesday and drove to Vegas. We stayed at Planet Hollywood! The rooms were awesome, the hotel was so nice!! Gavin picked out which bed he wanted and he was king of the bed and the TV. Each room had its own theme, ours was for Good Will Hunting and it had memorabilia from the movie, like the hoodie and the pants and pictures from the movie. My parents room was from Romeo and Julliet!
We got to Vegas around 5 in the morning so our check out time wasn't until 1:00 pm, thank goodness because we needed the sleep. Anyways we got up the next morning and got ready. My Parents took us to the Rio for the ultimate buffet... I could not believe how many people ate out for Thanksgiving. We were standing in the front of the line waiting for a table for so long. Paisley had her Happy Thanksgiving bib on and was not happy about the wait at all!! We finally got a table and off to eating we went!! There was so much food and so many desserts it was great!

Afterwards we were off for the rest of the trip to Arizona. We got to Arizona around 11:30pm or so and we went straight to bed. We got up and made our way over to the Bensons to see Tyler! He just got off of his mission on the 19th, so it was sure great to see him. He hadn't met Paisley before and when he finally got home she was asleep on his bed, so he made sure to go in there and kiss her a bunch!! We sure had a lot of fun visiting with the Benson's and also the Schmidt family. On Saturday we went to the Mesa Temple lights, its different from Salt Lake but still very pretty. This was the 1st time that I had been to the temple lights there. It was kinda funny to walk around and see everyone wearing winter clothes and jackets like it was cold there... meanwhile we're walking around thinking it was nice weather!! Sunday Tyler spoke in church. He gave a really great talk and it was so nice to just listen to him speak! Monday morning we headed back to Salt Lake! We got home around 10:00pm and boy was I glad to not have to be in the car anymore!! We had such a great time. Thank you Mom and Dad for everthing!! And thank you Lindsay for letting us drive along in your car... and listening to Paisley have a minor breakdown!! :)
