Dr's Appointment

Today I went in for my regular 34 week checkup for the baby! Dallas had to work so I took both the kids and headed to the Dr's. I had to do a 24 hour urine test so I got there a little early so I could give that to the lab and have my blood drawn. Afterwards I headed over to the Dr's and my blood pressure was really high, they waited a little while and then took it again and it was still really high... so we did the rest of the appointment and took it again and it was still high. So my Dr came back in and said that she is pretty sure I have pre eclampsia. She told me that I am to be on complete bedrest, I have to come in 2 times a week for non stress tests for the baby plus my regular Dr's appointment. I wasn't supposed to come back until the 13th but she is now wanting me to come in every week. She sent me back to the lab to have my blood taken for some more tests to determine how "severe" the pre eclampsia is. She said she wanted to see me back in a week and if the tests results come back not good then she could be calling me to come back in sooner to have the baby. She said the baby will be fine being born at this stage, however he would have to remain in ICU for a few weeks. So there's the update!! Yipee! I am not sure how this bedrest thing is going to work out... should be interesting!
