We all went over to my parents house and we brought Gavin's scooter with that Grandpa and Grandma Schmidt gave him for Christmas. We figured it was nice enough outside that he could try it out since it doesn't work too well in snow!! So we went over and Gavin was SUPER excited! We brought his helmet... ya we know our boy!! And away he went. My Mom was out with the camera of course and was sitting on the steps to the house and Dallas was standing by the car taking pictures with our camera, Gavin was SO pre-occupied by striking a pose or making sure he gave us good photo opps that next thing we know he has fallen and then is screaming bloody murder. I was sitting next to Mom and Gavin turned and his hand was covering what looked like his eye, I ran over to him although I was a bit scared in case it was his eye, I don't know that I'm capable of dealing with eye wounds! Luckily it was his nose and cheek. I carried him inside and he was saying "this is awful" and "this is NOT the best day of my life" ha ha ha!! We got him all cleaned up and put the magical bandaids on and he was okay!! Luckily!! Anyways here are the pictures we got before the tragedy!!
