Another Update on Bronson's Head

Yesterday I took Bronson in to the occupational therapist again. The torticolis (tightening on the left side of his neck) is improving and he is able to move his head a little more. However the plagiocephaly (flatening of his head) is still there.. his head is still measuring 10mm off. (if you made an X on the top of his head and measured each diagonal this is where the difference it) So they gave me the information to call and Orthotist for Bronson to get measured and fitted for a helmet. We went to that appointment today and he was measured and they took pictures of his head, we should hear back from them in about a week to see if the insurance will cover the helmet (if not they are around $2500 YIKES) They said that his numbers fall in what the criteria is for needing a helmet so they don't see any problems with getting it approved. Once we get the approval then we'll take Bronson back in for them to do the moulding/sculpting of the helmet and then 2 weeks after that he'll have the helmet. So I will keep you updated. He said he'll need to wear if for 23 1/2 hours a day and he is thinking for 3 to 4 months and they'll see how its improved from there. So there's the update on my little guy who likes to cause stress!! :) He'll be a cute little guy though!!
