Fry Sauce??

I forgot to put this post in earlier, the story.... I made Gavin and Paisley Dinosaur food (chicken nuggets) and they of course wanted fry sauce to go along with it. So I made it and had it in a bowl on the table, scooped some out for each of them and that was that..... Gavin came up to me and said "Mom, come here quick you've got to see this" i was thinking it was the 1 millionth toy that he saw on a commercial that he also had to have for christmas, but I go down and find this.....

Oh and for one more Paisley moment.... She seems to do this ALL the time.... What the heck???

Is this not the cutest....

Picture of these two!! AWWWW and I took it!!

(Brittany and Tommy)

Halloween Party

We took the kids to a halloween party that my friend did for her kids. Gavin was super excited to wear his costume, Paisley and Bronson could care less I think but they looked adorable. Paisley really loved the Pumpkin bowling. Aunt Brittany would set the pins up for another kid and Paisley would roll her pumpkin and knock them down again, it was a vicious cycle :) Gavin had a ton of fun as well!!

Paisley hasn't done anymore exciting things in the potty, although today she climbed in the playpen with Bronson, took her clothes off, then her poopy diaper, threw the diaper overboard and then smeared her butt on the playpen. I got to her diaper and opened it up and there was a burried treasure, I guess at some point in the last couple of days she decided she was a piggy bank and swallowed a dime.... Don't worry I spared you all and won't put picture up of all that excitement!!

Updates from a lazy blogger

I guess its not that I'm lazy... I have a lot that I could blog about, but mostly I just don't have the time to sit and write it down! So here's an attempt to catch up on a couple things!

Gavin: He has been enjoying 1st grade. He has 1 girlfriend named Emily (I'm not sure if she knows about this or not) and he has 1 crush (Bella... she's moved down on the ranks I guess). His favorite things about school is he can see Emily and Bella, he likes homework, math and computers. He's been doing really well and mostly getting Green days which we are really proud of him for!! He likes walking to school in the Mornings with his friends, and seems to really like his teacher.

Paisley will be 2 in December... the time has flown by. She is starting to talk a lot more and the most important update is SHE WENT POTTY IN THE TOILET TODAY!!!! YAY!!!! She was pretty happy about it! So was I! I was tempted to sing the pee pee in the potty song off of Look whose talking, but figured that really doesn't help... or does it?? ha ha! I kept saying "Good Girl" over and over and over and over again and she finally told me "Just Stop" ha ha!! She's quite the sassy girl.

Bronson is doing well, he's crawling everywhere and pulling himself up on things. He got another ear infection, and he is teething, good combination huh!!? He has 3 teeth already and his top 2 are coming in. He is still supposed to be wearing his helmet for another 4-5 weeks, although I haven't put him in it for a while, he hates it and I'm a sucker.

On Sunday we went over to Brittany's boyfriends house and carved pumpkins, we hadn't done that in so long, so we all had a really great time. My mom took pictures of that so when I get them i will post them.

That's another thing, I guess i have forgotten that I have a camera, I'm never taking pictures anymore. Maybe its because any time I go to the batteries are dead, that's annoying.
So there you have it, same ol stuff different day. I can't remember what else to write about!

Paisley and Bronson... growing up

I took Bronson and Paisley for their well child check on Friday... They were pretty good. Bronson is still getting over his ear infection, poor dude. Paisley was lucky and didn't have to have any shots, but as soon as they put her on the table to see how tall she was, she started crying and kept saying , "shoes, bye bye, c ya, go" ha! She's a smart little thing!

Here are the updates!

Paisley is in the 54% for weight, and 98 % for her height!
Bronson is in the 29% for weight and 51 % for his height!

Both are growing good!

Bronson crawled a little today (meaning 3 or 4 crawls!) I'm sure he'll be caching on in the next couple days... in the meantime he is army crawling, or pivoting to where ever he wants to go.

Paisley is more girly than girly!! She loves talking on the phone, holding purses, holding babies, and wrapping them up. We are trying to get her to sleep in her big girl bed... but she is totally not having it!

Gavin seems to be liking school! That makes me Happy!! He still has 5 or so girlfriends and 1 crush! ha! He has been such a sweet boy!~ AND! He's learning to read!! HOLY COW!!

Bows I've made.....

And He's Off....

Gavin is off to 1st grade.... wow... 1st grade really seems like a big kid to me, even though I can't believe it, I now fully understand that Staples commercial where the song Its the Most Wonderful Time of the Year is being sung and the parents are practically doing a cartwheel and the kids are not that excited... this is me! Ha!
Gavin is pretty excited about it though. His school was just built last school year and this is the 1st year it is open. We went and checked around it, and he even has his own locker.... crazy! I had the good ol' tote tray until 7th grade!! Hopefully he has a great day.

On a side note, I have forgotten to update about his surgery, everything went well... he has a long scar on his neck now. The pathology came back that they got everything they needed on the 2nd surgery. So no more surgeries! YAY!!

Now... I'm off to do laundry, Paisley and Bronson are still sleeping, so now is the perfect time :)

The results from the lump!

I forgot to mention this in the last post, but yesterday we went in for the follow up for Gavin's surgery and the results of what it was. The Dr said that it came back as a very rare tumor. They are going to have to do another surgery in which they will remove a centimeter more around the whole incision and they'll send that off to make sure that they got it all.. The next surgery is scheduled for August 13th

Gavin's Surgery

Gavin found a lump on his neck about a year ago... we originally thought it might be a spider bite, and then it still didn't go away so we thought maybe it was a pimple or something but it still didn't go away so earlier this month I made an appointment to have the ENT check it out, he said he thought it was just a cyst and we scheduled the surgery for July 23rd.

I have to tell you this part! Gavin is not anywhere close to a kid who will hold still or let you do anything that he doesn't want to. If he gets scared, he'll start screaming, and kicking and blocking you from doing anything that you're trying to do!!

So back to the surgery... he was going to have to be put to sleep with the IV and then of course get the surgery. I didn't tell Gavin much about it so that I didn't get him scared and have to drag him in to the place. We got to the place and we let him take his blanket, his stuffed frog and a Ben 10 toy.... we were set! We got back for them to give him versed which was supposed to calm him down. Well the lady giving him the medicine, which was just liquid told him it would make him feel goofy... this was what set him off. She went to give it to him and he started screaming and kicking and covering his mouth... she asked if we didn't want to give it to him and I told her that he definately needs it if there were going to get further than here! SO I told Gavin they changed their minds and they just needed to give him tylenol! It worked! Thank goodness! The Dr came in to talk to us before the surgery was done and he wanted to draw on the lump to mark it for surgery, that was a no go for Gavin, so he skipped that part. Then the anesthesiologist came in and asked if Gav would go with him and Gavin said "In a wheelchair" thankfully he went along with it and grabbed the wheelchair to take Gavin.. then everything went well... Here's the pictures from before the surgery!

Swimming with the Kids

Brittany and I went up to Layton to go swimming with Shari and her kids... The kids seemed to have a lot of fun. Paisley really loved it and even Bronson did! Thanks Brittany for coming up and helping me!!

Gavin's Last T-Ball Game

Gavin was in T-Ball this year. He did really well and seemed to like it... most of the time. He was excited to get a trophy after his game!

Dallas turned 32

Dallas didn't want to do anything for his birthday. So we just had a small get together with my parents and Shari and Arthur. We had dinner and then cake and ice cream!

This is the place

This year I took the kids down to this is the place for thier family fun day! We met up with Shari and her kids. It was super hot but there was a lot of shade so that was nice. The kids got to ride a pony, make necklaces, bag puppets and paint pictures and then they played on the playground. Everyone seemed to have a great time!
