Dallas' parents were in town and were staying at our house Saturday as well so we had them go to the fair with us. We got there and Gavin insisted to walk through the stinky cow place, it was SOOO stinky! He liked it though. Then we went to the "Little Hands on the farm" and took Gavin through that. It was pretty cute. He got to wear an apron and get a basket and put a scoop of corn in it to feed the cow, then we walked through and he poured the corn in the cow troff, then he got to milk the cow, then he took a carton of milk and put it in his basket. Next we were off to the apple orchard and he picked one apple off the tree to put in his basket. Then he picked a seed and was able to plant it and then "dig it up" and put that in his basket also. Next he was off to drive the tractor around the track with his basket in the trailer! Next was the sheep that he was able to pet and then get a chunck of whool to put in his basket. The next stop was to get an egg from the chicken coop and put that in his basket as well. And last but not least he took his "harvest" to the market and was "paid" for his hard work! He was able to purchase a thing of cereal!
After the farm thing, we met up with my parents and Dallas, Gavin and my Dad went and watched the tractor pulls for a couple of pulls. They all seemed to really like that! Afterwards we met up with Lindsay, Brittany, Shane and Sam and went to the Illusionist show and Shari and Arthur met up with us there.
Once that was over we walked around to a couple of booths and were able to see a scuplture made of butter and some other things.
We had a good night but I was dead tired by the end!!
