So our yard has sucked for the longest time. Our sprinklers broke last year and we never got around to fixing it so the good ol' yard went down the toilet. Well this year my sisters friend said he would be able to give us any left over sod that wasn't able to be sold before the weekend. Well we got the first batch of it a couple of months ago and we had tilled the rest of the yard up hoping to keep getting some sod on the weekends. Well they didn't have any left over sod for quite a while. Then on Monday around 3:30 ish I got a text from my sisters friend that said he has left over sod!! YAY!! I was thinking it was going to be about the say amount as last time... but no, he had enough for the rest of the backyard!!! Finally we were going to have a yard.... Now here is the problem.... we've been watering the yard like crazy so that the sod would keep growing, this in turn put a turbo growth on our "garden" as Gavin calls it. So we had a LOT of work ahead of us! Thankfully Dallas' brother Earle came over to help after he got off work and then Brittany and Mo came over after Brittany got off work to help (THANKS SO MUCH GUYS!!) Before they came over, we started to re till the backyard and to start raking up the weeds and try to make it as level as possible. Earle came over and helped with the raking and I'm sure wanted to kill us by the time he left! The sod finally got there around 8:30 and then they all started laying the sod, it didn't get done until around 10:30. Everyone was so tired and sore. So now we finally have a backyard that we can actually do something in!!! We still need to finish tilling about a foot around the fence where we are going to put flowers in!! I'm excited to get it all done!! Here are some before and after pictures!!!

You are so lucky to get all of that sod for free! That is great! I would kill for free sod! hee hee hee! Your backyard looks great and I am glad you can finally see your swingset!
Yard work is so hard! We had to put in our yard in our first house and it was NO FUN! When we moved to our next house, we were so super excited it already had a fenced in yard all done for us, but then we realized that our spinklers SUCK and the yard is not even somewhat even. You just can't win I guess. Sigh
